Rockdale ISD runs an early childhood learning center called Tiger Learning Center. It is open to children ages 6 weeks to entry into PreK. The center is available for all Rockdale ISD staff members, relatives of Rockdale ISD staff members, to the children of Rockdale ISD students, and to staff members of neighboring school districts. The Tiger Learning Center is a fully licensed day care facility and is working the with Workforce Commission to receive the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) national certification.
The TLC program runs from August 1 - June 30 and holidays are in accordance with the Rockdale ISD school calendar. The hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. The TLC uses the Frog Street Press Curriculum and each child is given an individual lesson plan to work on age appropriate skills. Our staff members receive ongoing training in early childhood growth and development in order to provide a true learning environment for the children.
Tuition is $25 a day and covers all meals for the children. The second child in the same family is $20 a day. We accept Child Care Services (CCS) payments through the Workforce Commission and will assist applicants with the application process.
Please share with family members about this opportunity and contact Pieda Flores, TLC Director at 512-430-6012 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have specific questions. We currently have openings in our toddler and preschool rooms.
